
The Hawaii Healing Garden

At Waimea Valley Audubon Center, North Shore Oahu
A celebration of multi-cultural medicinal plants of Hawaii.
Chinese, Filipino, Ayurvedic, Samoan, Hawaiian traditional la`au lapa`au practitioners and ethno- botanists, gardening enthusiasts and farmers will be on hand to share their knowledge of the healing properties of plants through demonstrations, lectures, displays, storytelling, and walking tours.
With the Office of Hawaiian Affairs’ recent acquisition of title to Waimea Valley, this event invites the public to share in a celebration of Waimea Valley and the rich botanical treasures and history to be enjoyed in this ancient ahupua’a.
Lectures, Children's Programs, Music and More
The event is free and open to the public. Admission required for entrance and activities within the Waimea Valley Park
Morning presentations on Hawaiian, Ayurvedic and Chinese medicinal uses of plants are concurrent with children’s program to support parents who wish to attend the morning events. Lunch break followed by tours, storytelling, hands-on displays, music and ongoing educational and family fun presentations.
Health & Wellness Healing Arts Fair featuring informational booths and vendors offering leis, garden produce and other health- related products.
Relax and Rejuvinate at The Healing Hale.
Schedule lomilomi massage, reiki or acupuncture treatments from professional health care providers and relax to the sounds of birds and Waimea stream.
Walking Tours & Children's Educational Workshops provided by Waimea Valley Audubon Center staff so you and your kids can learn, have fun and meet new friends too. $3.00 plus park admission (Space limited, registration required)

The word “healing" in the title of this unique event invites the healing of individuals as well as Waimea Valley and our community, and encourages us to learn more about the medicinal properties of plants used by many cultures living in Hawaii.
